We have a habit of spending a lot of time worrying about what God's
will is for us. While it is necessary for us to know God's will if we
are to be what He wants us to be and it is out of our desire to please
Him that we are seeking His will. Sometimes I think we "do not see the
forest for the trees" that is we are so busy looking for the "Big"
things that we do not see what He has put in front of us. Sometimes He
does not tell us His big plan for us because we are not ready, we need
to do what He puts before us so He can prepare us for the big plan. We
also need to take the chance that we may be wrong, if we never take the
chance we will never accomplish His will. We need to just "Go for it",
remember He will be with us, even if we are wrong, He will carry us
through.
When God Ran : {4/5/2009 10:30:00 AM}
When God Ran, Jesus tells the story of a man who had 2 sons. In this story the Father is God the Father and the son is us, this is the only time that God runs, but Jesus said that the Father RAN to his son, hugged him, kissed him, took him back as his son. Then they had party to celebrate the return of his son. Remember God is the Father and we are the son, when we return He runs to us! When God Ran.
Forgiveness : {3/21/2009 10:00:00 AM}
Forgiveness is one of the most difficult words in the Bible, Faith we like, Hope is good, but Forgiveness requires us to forgive, and for many of us we are convinced that it is too difficult and they can never forgive this person or that person. The truth is that we can and in fact we must forgive, even the ones who hurt us the most. How do we forgive, I hope this message will help you understand how you can forgive.
Security in troubled times : {3/16/2009 8:00:00 AM}
Why are we here anyhow? Our purpose has not changed, even in these troubled and uncertain times. If we focus on our main reason for being here we will not be troubled or distressed by the things that are happening around us.
Hi we are Pastors Jimmie & Pam Lawson and our
church is called “The House of Bread.” Did you know that Jesus was born in
the “House of Bread?” in Hebrew Bethlehem means “house of bread,” how fitting is
it that the Bread of Life was born in the House of Bread! We call this church
“The House of Bread” for two reasons, one, this is Jesus' house and He is
the Bread of Life and, two, this is a place of where the people are fed the
Bread of Life, the Word of God. Our aim is to meet the spiritual needs of
all who enter and to meet the physical needs as the Lord provides., This
church is in Rockdale Texas. This is a new work, we held our first service on 9/14/2008 @ 10:00 AM and we
are holding services every Saturday evening at 6:00 PM Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM.
The church is located at 234 Mill Street, Rockdale Texas, 76567. Our phone is (254)780-7652.
You can email us at HouseOfBread@minister.com
This is a new work and we are in need of your prayers and support.
Mission Statement:
"And Jesus said to them, 'I Am the bread of life,..." Jesus
is the bread of life, if we come to Him we will never ever hunger, and if we
believe in Him we will in no way thirst, the Amplified bible puts it like this
“And he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never
thirst any more (at any time)” Wow, if we put our total faith and trust in Him
we can be sure we will never hunger or thirst. Now Jesus did not mean that we
would not experience hunger or thirst in our body, He is speaking about our soul
and spirit, that empty place in us that we long to fill but only He can fill.
This is the hunger and thirst He is speaking of! Now that last part is the
hardest “Trusts in and relies on ME” ouch, that is where the 'rubber meets the
road' isn't it? We have to give it up and completely trust and rely on Him!
This is a new work in this
community and I am looking for believers who want to be a part of something out
of the ordinary, I am tired of doing 'Church', I want to meet with God! I want
His presence in our services! Our goal in every service will never be “Stay on
schedule!” but instead that the will of the Holy Spirit be realized and that He
be allowed to move as He sees fit! We have a schedule, but it is only be
a place to start, if the Lord desires to set His schedule, we will gladly follow
His schedule! He knows what we need more than we do. When we allow God to have
His way in our services we will see great and mighty things happen in our mist
and HE will be glorified. I tell you right now it is not about us or any other
member of this ministry, if you are looking for place where your ministry will
be “important” and you will get noticed, then this is not the place for you. It
is and always will be all about Him and Him only. However if you want to be used
by the Lord in what ever way He sees fit for His glory, if you want to be a part
of this “church”, if you want to be a part of this assembly of believers and
feel led by the Holy Spirit to join with us on this Great Adventure please let
us know and we can get together and talk about how you can help. Thank you, Rev. Jimmie Lawson
